In addition to costume design, Katerina has a passion for historical fashion. She assisted her professor, Pamela Johnson, in the Forbes Historical Costume Collection. Katerina also served as a wardrobe and costume shop assistant, having had a range of training in technical design. She loves designing mixed period and avant garde productions. Katerina thrives in creative collectives where she can utilize her interpersonal communication, time management, and problem solving skills.
Katerina is a DMV based costume designer and graduate from James Madison University. In May of 2020, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Minor in Communications.

In her final semester, Katerina worked on her senior thesis: Primary Research for Costume Design, The Importance of Primary Research when Designing for Sensitive Topics; Costume Designs for I Once Knew a Girl by Teya Sepinuck, a Theatre of Witness Production. She also assisted Professor Pamela Johnson on the New Voices in Dance Concert at James Madison University.

During the fall of her senior year, Katerina costume designed Everybody by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins at James Madison University. In 2020, she attended the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for her nomination, and received the Costume Design Regional Award for her work.
